I wrote this tune in September 2018 as Hurricane Florence approached the southeastern US. The hurricane’s approach followed the same pattern as always: the feeling of knowing that something terrible is coming, it is too late to change its course, the most vulnerable are going to be the most affected, and there is not much left to do except just wait for it to come.
